Code of Ethics

In its operations, Start People applies the principles of the Code of Ethical Conduct binding on companies associated to the Temporary Employment Agencies Union (ZAPT).
Pursuant to that document, Start People undertakes to comply with the following set of rules:
Principles of cooperation with a User Employer

  • The basic principle of cooperation between the temporary employment agency and a user employer is the precise definition of the requirements relating to the temporary workers in a commercial contract.
  • In its performance of the contract, the temporary employment agency acts in the best interest of the user employer, meeting its expectations concerning the profile of the temporary employees.
  • Temporary employment agencies are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of all information received from a user employer; in that respect, agencies are obliged to obtain a non-disclosure statement from temporary employees covering all the information they received in connection with their performance of temporary work for the user employer.

Principles of cooperation with temporary employees

Start People undertakes to abide by the applicable Polish law, overseeing And promoting the rights of its temporary employees, in particular in respect of:

  • fair pay;
  • complying with all the formalities related to the hiring process and, in particular, informing a temporary employee about the nature and length of the cooperation, the remuneration and the anticipated working hours;
  • adhering to remuneration payments as scheduled in the contract;
  • complying with the provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection, as applicable to temporary employees;
  • providing a temporary employee with accurate information on the nature of the contract entered into with the temporary employment agency and advising him/her that the agency, as a member of the Temporary Agencies Union, is responsible for paying the remuneration and all employment-related benefits.

Start People further undertakes

  • To treat both temporary employment candidates and temporary employees with dignity and respect, and to provide them with equal access to employment opportunities on the basis of professional qualifications, regardless of their race, skin colour, denomination, nationality, gender, age and/or physical disability.
  • To ascertain whether or not the temporary employees’ workplaces o comply with the safety standards.
  • To ensure that a temporary employee understands the nature of the tasks he/she has been assigned to perform, and that he/she is capable of performing such tasks without putting his/her own and others’ health at risk.
  • To ensure that a Temporary Employee has been properly trained to perform the assigned task.
  • To deliver the contract, signed by both parties, to the temporary employee prior to the latter’s commencing work or, if this should prove impossible, immediately thereafter.
  • To pay sthe remuneration in a timely manner, and remit personal income tax and social insurance contributions likewise.
  • To provide its temporary employees with all welfare benefits, as stipulated by the applicable law.
  • To issue the appropriate document confirming the total remuneration and with a breakdown of the particular elements thereto, upon completion the work.
  • To deliver, at the request of a temporary employee, an income certificate and proof that payment of the requisite contributions has been made.
  • To deliver annual tax returns in a timely manner.
  • To arrange periodic medical examinations, if such are required as a result of the nature of the tasks performed by the temporary employee.
  • To hold general occupational health and safety training, to either be arranged directly by the Agency, or by the user.

Promotional activities

The benefits which may be enjoyed by Users from the services offered must be advertised and marketed realistically and objectively.
